Catalina WE's K-24, branch? rock? or just tired of sibling?

I heard that K-24 had flown outside of the nest today, so went off in search of the video.  Here is a short video that I cut from the two hour U-stream record showing when he left the nest and then came back.   The full video is at  http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/23362296  There is interesting behavior between K-27 and K-24 before K-24 flies over the side (which happens at about 28 min in to the full length video on ustream).  He flies back into the nest just before the end of the full video.  My short version below.
