Berry eagle mom fights off intruder as hatch time nears!

Video courtesy of eaglewhisperer18 and Berry College – shows a large bird swooping in on mom eagle late this evening.  Most believe it was an owl.  Looks like mom does great, but wow!  Can really see that mom struggles with her injury to her foot when she is moving around the nest.  All seems quiet now, a couple of hours later.  Some folks are also starting to see what may be a pip in one egg, so talons crossed!

    1. As far as I know, the Berry dad has been around as would be expected, although Moms do most of the incubating and immediate care of hatch-lings. They do trade off duties a lot so most of the time, only one will be on the nest with them at this point in the season and it can be pretty hard to tell them apart. Hope that helps!
