Yay! Injured Wolf River eagle thought possibly to be ‘Martha’ released!

Wonderful news about the injured Wolf River eagle that was thought to possibly be Martha of the Wolf River eaglecam pair.  It seemed certain that she would not fly again, but she had other ideas!   The beautiful Facebook album by the Feather Wildlife Rehab Center tells the story https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.760811077317822.1073741871.147964821935787&type=1   Be sure to open the photo album and read the captions to get the story.  Be prepared for happy tears!

  1. What a happy story to start the season, Twizz. Thanks for sharing with all of us.

The Decorah 2014 juvie that was injured (broken wing at wrist) is not going to recover fully enough to be released. They have filed papers to have him become an educational bird. In a way it’s sad, but I take comfort in knowing he has many lessons he will be able to teach.

    1. Hi Sandy! Wish the Decorah juvie would have been able to be released, but glad at least he was rescued. I know what you mean about it being a bit sad though. Twizz
