Second egg arrives at the Blackwater Refuge eaglecam nest!

Very nice to see a second egg arrive!    Rather than 3 days apart, this egg arrived 3.5 to 4 days later.  This time frame is not uncommon but sure helps to explain that we saw the parents spending so much time off the first egg to help with extra-delayed incubation.  Of course that is only my theory.  Most importantly mom and dad eagle sure seem to know, as always, what they need to do!   Nature is so amazing!  Link to cam: http://www.friendsofblackwater.org/camhtm2.html  (note about the picture with this post – the eagle was only away for about 30 seconds, so eggs were not left alone for long)
