Second egg arrives at the Southwest Florida nest, but the first egg has disappeared

Last evening, eagle mom Harriet laid her second egg.  However, watchers noticed that the first egg had been buried in the nest materials and unattended for some hours before that.  It appears that the first egg may not have been viable and so was pushed aside by the eagles.  We won’t ever know for sure what happened, but based on observations, it appears that the egg we see now is the second egg.   Link to cam: http://www.dickpritchettrealestate.com/eagle-feed.html
