Interesting activity at the Wolf River nest – Eagles preparing a nest bowl!

Wolf River

hmmm, interesting stuff happening at Wolf River!  Both eagles have been seen on the nest actively nestorating and a nest bowl has been built, apparently in just the past few days.  Two years ago, they laid their first egg March 22, a whole lot earlier than now.  And in general, this would be considered quite late for this area for egg laying. Last year we had owls take over the nest, and the resident Wolf River eagle pair built a nest close by.  We’ll just have to watch to see if anything develops.   Link to cam: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/WolfRiverCam-New-London

  1. I thought I read they started nesting in another tree, I wonder if the bad weather they have been having did something to the other nest.

    1. someone said that maybe the other nest failed. So they might be trying again. But I don’t think it was the person who is onsite at the cam. They said they have another nest about 300 yards away, but I didn’t see if they had eaglets last year or not.
